# Invite the Team

Add people to your workspace so they can create forms and collaborate in Rooks.

### Invite a team member

Only a workspace **Owner** can send invitations.

To invite someone from the workspace dashboard, select :user-plus: **Invite** and enter their first name, last name, and email address.

You can also open **Workspace settings**, select **Team**, and then select **Invite**.

New team members are invited with the **Member** role. After they accept the invitation, an Owner can change their role if they need additional permissions.

### Accept an invitation

Rooks sends the team member an email containing a secure sign-in link. Following the link signs them in and adds them to the workspace.

Invitations expire after seven days. A workspace can have up to 10 pending invitations at a time.

### View invitation status

Open **Workspace settings**, then select **Team** to view everyone associated with the workspace.

The **Status** column shows whether each person has joined:

* **Invited** means the invitation has not been accepted.
* **Active** means the person has joined the workspace.

### Resend or cancel an invitation

If a team member has not joined yet, find them on the **Team** page and choose one of the following actions:

* Select **Resend invite** to send a new invitation. Rooks may ask you to wait up to 15 minutes after the previous invitation was sent.
* Select **Cancel invite**, then confirm by selecting **Cancel invite**. The existing invitation link will stop working.

### Suspend a team member

To remove an active team member’s workspace access open **Workspace settings** :arrow-right: **Team**, find the team member and select **Suspend**.

Only a workspace **Owner** can suspend user accounts.

If the team member is the assigned editor of a form, transfer that form’s editing rights before suspending their account. Each form must always have one assigned editor.
